Free pattern - Miniature Sandwiches

Materials:
DK yarn in various colours
4mm knitting needles
3mm crochet hook

BREAD:
Use light brown / cream for white bread and medium brown for brown bread. 
Cast on 14 stitches
Rows 1 - 25: Knit
Cast off leaving long tail to sew


FILLING:
Use pink for ham, peach for salmon, yellow for cheese, red for strawberry jam, etc.
Cast on 24 stitches
Row 1: K11, kFB, KFB, K11
Row 2: K12, KFB, KFB, K12
Cast off leaving long tail to sew. 



SLICED BOILED EGG:
Use yellow and white
Start with yellow
Round 1: 6 SC in magic circle.  Do not join round
Change to white
Round 2: 2 SC in each SC in previous round (12 SC). Join to first SC of round 2 with SL ST. 
Cut yarn leaving long tail to sew.



OTHER SLICED FILLINGS:
Use green for lettuce, red for tomato, white/cream for picked onion, etc
Round 1: magic circle, chain 3, 12 DC in magic circle. Join with SL ST to 3rd chain. 
Cut yarn leaving long tail to sew.



PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER:

Sew in cast on tail on bread and cut



Sew in and cut cast on tail on filling


Sew filling to bread as shown.  Note layout of where long tail on bread is position in relation to filling. Sew in and cut filling cast off tail.

Sew in and cut all except one end of yarn from filling slices (use 2 at least)

Sew filling slice to filling, sew in ends and cut yarn


Fold bread slice and sew up along edges


Sew in ends and cut yarn


That was and egg and ham sandwich in brown bread.
